Teaching

John teaches public policy analysis, climate policy, and energy policy at the graduate level (M.A./M.Sc.). He has also taught undergraduate courses on Comparative Public Policy, Canadian Politics, and International Relations.

His pedagogical approach prioritizes in-class engagement through a combination of written reflection, structured policy simulations, and application of course reading to relevant policy issues. He draws on research expertise and recent international experience as Director of Research for the Extractive Resource Governance Program (2022-2025), which involved close collaboration and public speaking engagements with Government Ministries and industry actors around the World.
